Exploring rock city in Spain

It’s a resort town which is located in the northern part of the Costa Blanca.
Calpe originally consisted of a walled old fishing village constructed around the church, the wall being built to defend the habitants against frequent pirate attacks from North Africa. It is considered a city-reserve because the central attraction of Calpe is the rock of Ifach – a majestic symbol of the whole coast!

Once upon a time, the hill and the territory adjacent to it were private property. At the beginning of the 20th century Vicente Paris Morla cut a tunnel through the rock and today it’s a popular part of the traveler route. In the 21st century, the rock and its surroundings became a protected area.
Having overcome this difficult path and finally climbed the 322-meter cliff top, we were shocked by the panoramic view with seagulls soaring over Calpe and the azure water of Mediterranean Sea!

I has an 2 days trip in Spain and book local guide here – it was awesome experience cos I meet locals who have music as a passion, and I saw a lot of little-know places here. Thank you guys!
