Book lovers heaven in Venice

Libreria Acqua Alta bookshop is a mix between a flea market and a classical library, it’s located close to Piazza San Giovanni e Paolo. Here you can find something that you want but you have to look enough in a room with a gondola stacked with books or other rooms packed with boats and bath tubs with old second hand atlases, art and history books.

The bookshop is called Libreria Acqua Alta, it means “library of high water” … If you know Venice very well, you know that Acqua Alta happens every year by which Venice is flooded temporarily various times a year when the Adriatic Sea tide rises. And the bookshop is completely flooded but our books are safe floating in gondola and boats.
