Cork is quite isolated within Ireland but a really nice spot to spend a good couple of years in your 20s/30s and if you fit in well maybe longer.

But if you enjoy fancy restaurants and culinary experiences I’m afraid Cork, as well as the rest of Ireland, is well below European standards, let alone as good as Mediterranean cuisine styles.
