La Pilareta

Every major Spanish city has a tapas bar regarded as “quintessential”. Established in 1917, this one is high up on the list of many guides. Veteran waiters serve excellent tapas such as habas, ensaladilla rusa and famous mussels and traditional Valencian dishes as well, and everything is incredibly fresh.

It’s a nice place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine and a few items such as the chorizo and the lomo montaditos (open sandwiches with chorizo and pork loin).
