Start your Munich trip at Marienplatz with its pavement cafes for people watching, street musicians striking up a tune and my tailored tour.
This square is named after the central Marien column, erected in the 17th century to celebrate the end of Swedish occupation. A grain market and tournaments were held here in the Middle Ages and a Christmas Market has taken place here as well.






And after we can walk a short distance to the Viktualienmarkt, which is another of my favourite spots in Munich. The market is open daily except Sundays and holidays and you’ll find an incredible array of local food products in hundred shops that surround the market…
